Over 30 years ago, Jessica Soy embarked on a journey to create a non-toxic environment for her family. Shocked to discover carcinogens in products for newborns, Jessica set out to find a better option. There wasn’t one. Motivated by her frustration, she substituted unsafe cleansing and fragrance ingredients with high quality plant-based substitutes and began to create the beloved formulas for what is today, the industry leader in 100% biobased skincare.

In 1995, she launched California Baby with three products and since then, built the company into a globally recognized brand, with more than 200 products. California Baby is a certified Women Owned Business, with its own certified organic and FDA registered manufacturing operation. Jessica owns a certified organic farm in Santa Barbara county that grows many of the botanicals used in California Baby products.
