Ora's Amazing Herbal

We didn't begin as an herbal skincare business.

In 2010, my 1 year old daughter developed eczema. I took her to the doctor to make sure it was in fact manageable eczema and nothing requiring urgent medical care. To my surprise, the Dr prescribed antibiotics and steroids without asking any questions about her diet, how long she had been having these symptoms, or investigating her environmental exposures, nothing.

This was a big red flag for me as a mom.

Having an education in biology and plant based nutrition as well as some experience with herbs, I knew there must be a better way. I consulted with some master herbalists and naturopaths (ND’s) who all advised that I make her a salve, so I did. That salve is now known as our fragrance free Touchy Skin Salve!

It worked! I never filled those prescriptions, because I didn’t need to.

Let's jump another 15ish years. We've expanded our lineup to include a variety of fragrance free products with various textures, from salves, body oils, body butters, scrubs and more! My products work because we use ingredients and formulas that have stood the test of time, passed down from generation to generation of herbalists, midwives, and grandmothers and are backed by science.
