Oro de Sonora Pure Jojoba Family Farms

Our family started growing Jojoba in the late 1980's. It was kind of a strange thing to do, but in the end it turned out to be a very special adventure.
The reason was simple back then. People were killing sperm whales for the oil that was then sold to cosmetic manufacturers to make a quality moisturizers and skincare products. Spermaceti oil from whales has a very similar molecular similarity to our natural skin oil, sebum which protects us from the elements.
It turns out that Jojoba has this very same unique molecular make up as our sebum and whale oil. So we decided to get involved. time to save some whales and make great skincare.
Jojoba originated in the Sonoran desert of Arizona where the climate is perfect for the plants. So that's where we went.
